Ambitious young companies from the cultural and creative industries once again have the chance to establish themselves on the domestic and international startup scene and reach their first investors. The Creative Hub competition of the CzechInvest’s Technology Incubation project is now presented under the simplified name Creative Business Czechia and will offer the best project, among other valuable prizes, a unique participation in London Tech Week, one of the most important industry events in the world. Registration for the 10th edition is open from 8 December 2025 to 28 February 2026.
“We are taking Creative Business Czechia to an international scale. The new concept Creative Tech Goes Global sends a clear message to Czech startups: creativity from the Czech Republic has global potential and is heading straight to the global stage. The winner of the competition will be presented at London Tech Week and next year will participate in SXSW, an event where international collaboration, investment and new trends are born. In addition, this year the final is heading to the Automatic Mills in Pardubice – a place that symbolises the combination of history, distinctive industrial architecture and innovation. This is exactly the kind of dialogue we want to develop between creativity, technology and business in the competition,” says Petra Kneslová, Director of Creative Hub and organiser of Creative Business Czechia 2026.
The aim of the platform, formerly known as Creative Business Cup Czechia, is to offer progressive technology startups from the creative industries media attention, expert advice, valuable contacts and support for their further growth. The final evening, featuring the top ten finalists from across the Czech Republic, will take place on 15 April 2026. In addition to the award ceremony, the event will be attended by a number of private companies, municipalities and other entities supporting Creative Tech, offering an inspiring space for the art and business community to meet and for new partnerships to be forged.
Startups across all creative fields can apply: from gaming technology and XR solutions (VR/AR/MR), to 3D printing and digital fabrication, generative AI in audio, architecture, fashion and design, to blockchain, Web3 and innovations in marketing and advertising. Ideas with a focus on education or social responsibility are also welcome. The jury judges not only the innovative approach of the project, but also its chance to compete abroad. The winning founder will then test this potential at the London Tech Week festival, which attracts over 50,000 visitors each year from startups, investors and technology experts from over 90 countries.
Registrations for the competition are open from 8 December 2025 to 28 February 2026 and can be submitted exclusively via this website in the Application section .
In the past years, the competition has been successful for companies that have gradually gained a domestic and global reputation. These include story-reading app Readmio (winner 2021) and bullying detection firm FaceUp (winner 2020). Both have now been included in the Deloitte Fast 50 for 2025, which recognises the fastest growing technology companies in the Central European region. Kenka Puppet Game, the 2024 silver medalist, was then part of the official national exhibition at EXPO Osaka 2025. Winners of other editions include the equally successful progressive startups Graphic Standard (2025), E-CAFE BIKE (2024) and Snuggs (2019).
The Technology Incubation project is funded by the state budget through the Ministry of Industry and Trade under The Country for the Future programme.
