KNITHER introduces an innovative material technology that combines digital knitting with advanced polymer activation to create a new category of flexible, durable and aesthetically distinctive materials.
The technology enables the production of structurally accurate, almost waste-free products without the need for lamination or complex layering, providing a more efficient and sustainable alternative to traditional materials in fashion and industrial applications.
KNITHER material is an alternative to leather and classic synthetic laminates. It is created as a result of a manufacturing process where the product is first digitally designed and modelled in a computer, then the data is sent to knitting technology, which creates a structural blank in a near-final shape and cut. This approach allows the material properties to be precisely controlled according to the specific application – for example, KNITHER can be elastic, antiseptic, water-repellent and at the same time highly vapour permeable. The resulting applications range from footwear to furniture to automotive interiors.
KNITHER was the first to enter the market with ballet shoes developed for the National Theatre in Prague. This particular environment places extremely high demands on quality, aesthetics and functionality, making it the ideal testing and reference platform for a new generation of materials.
